Image of endurance
To endure means no matter what, you finish your course and keep the faith. Because the reward is so great you will be tried for your faith until your last breath.
Your adversary will use all he has in his power against you to cause you not to endure unto the end. For many, he uses deceptive tactics to cause people to become blind and ignorant to the fact that the way to eternal life is through Jesus so that they never join the faith further-less for keep the faith to the end. For many others he uses distractions and temptations to live sinful lives so they do not qualify to receive what God has for overcomers in the life to come.
"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him." James 1:12 KJV
The battle is over when your time here on earth is finished; once you make it to the end successfully, no one can ever take away the crown of life from you- it will be your legal right to have access to immortality in good standing with God.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8 KJV
The Bible has all the wisdom you will need to overcome any tactics of the enemy. The Holy Spirit has all the guidance you need when a Bible is not around. The enemy is jealous of you because what he has (this world) is only temporary and the choice that he made to go against God is irreversible with eternal consequences. However, You STILL have a chance to choose eternity with the LORD instead of an eternity of torment and sorrow with your adversary.
"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." 2 Timothy 2:3-4 KJV
